Kambô is een medicijn uit de Amazone dat al duizenden jaren wordt gebruikt. Het verhaal gaat dat er eens een inheemse sjamaan, Kampu genaamd, het bos in ging om een remedie te vinden voor zijn zieke dorpsgenoten, nadat er geen kruiden meer zouden werken. Daar kreeg hij een visioen van de geesten van het bos en leerde hij werken met Kambo. Na zijn dood verenigde hij zich met de kikker en is tegenwoordig nog steeds aanwezig in het Kambô-genezingsproces.
Het medicijn bestaat uit het slijm van een gigantische boomkikker, de Phyllomedusa Bicolor. Het wordt traditioneel gebruikt als focus tijdens de jacht of als behandeling tegen een breed spectrum van ziekten zoals infectieziekten (malaria, Lyme), auto-immuunziekten, depressie, revalidatie en wordt zelfs gebruikt om kanker te bestrijden. De afscheiding bevat enkele tientallen peptiden en neuropeptiden. Deze omvatten dermorphin en deltorphin, die krachtige pijnstillers zijn zonder verslavende effecten; Phyllomedusine en phyllocaeruleïne, die bijdragen aan het verwijderen van gifstoffen en andere dingen, en dermaseptine, dat een krachtige antimicrobiële activiteit bevordert tegen bacteriën, gistschimmels en tryptofyllinen, dat krachtig is tegen candida albicans.
Bij een typische ceremonie begint de cliënt met het drinken van maximaal 2 liter water. Daarna wordt een oppervlakkige laag van de huid puntsgewijs verwijderd met een smeulend stukje liaan, wat de deur opent voor de Kambô. Wanneer het is schoongemaakt, wordt het slijm op de plekken geplaatst en begint het medicijn snel te werken. Ten eerste wordt het geneesmiddel opgenomen door het lymfestelsel en teruggevoerd naar het hart. Daar begint je hart te bonzen, je zult het warm krijgen en je afvragen waarom je überhaupt aan deze ceremonie bent begonnen! Van daaruit verspreidt het medicijn zich via het neurale systeem door het lichaam en stimuleert het uw cellen om zichzelf te ontgiften en afvalproducten uit te scheiden. Binnen enkele ogenblikken beginnen de meeste mensen te braken. Het kan gebeuren dat deelnemers flauwvallen tijdens het proces. Dit is niet iets om je zorgen over te maken, en mensen maken dit niet bewust mee. Het is zelfs zo dat het medicijn daardoor op diepere niveaus kan werken. Andere mensen kunnen diarree krijgen, wat ook goed is om van tevoren te weten ... (zodat u eventueel extra ondergoed meeneemt). Kambo versterkt je immuunsysteem en herinnert je lichaam aan zijn zelfgenezend vermogen.
Kambô is een hartsgeneesmiddel, aangezien de kikker vreedzaam in de jungle leeft zonder dat roofdieren ze op durven te eten. De frequentie van onvoorwaardelijke liefde is wat je in je systeem integreert wanneer je ervoor kiest om met de geest van Kambô te werken. Dit is ook de reden waarom de meeste mensen moeten zuiveren. Inheemse indianen zeggen dat Kambô ook 'Panema', of gecondenseerde pech, uit je aura verwijdert, gezien als donkere stukjes in het braaksel. Dit zorgt voor een vrije stroom van energie, zodat u uw maximale potentie kunt waarmaken.
De kikker is zo leuk om naar te kijken, zoals hij leeft in een gebied van de Amazone van Brazilië, Peru en Colombia. Hoewel het gigantisch is, is het bang voor water. Dus als het begint te regenen , zal het in de boom klimmen en gaan kwaken. Sjamanen zullen het kunnen lokaliseren en op de schouder kunnen leggen. Waar ik het medicijn vandaan haal, weet ik dat er voor dit alles wordt gezorgd en dat het de juiste kikker is, met alle actieve componenten die in de afscheiding aanwezig zijn. Ja, ik betaal een beetje extra, maar het is de moeite waard aangezien ik ook betaal voor het behoud van de jungle en dieren in het wild, inclusief onze liefste kikker.

Kambô is a medicine from the Amazon that has been used for thousands of years. The story goes that once upon a time an indigenous shaman, named Kampu, went into the forrest to find a cure for his brothers and sisters in the village after no herbs would be effective. There he received a vision from the spirits of the forrest and got taught how to work with Kambo. After his death, Kampu went living inside the frog and is still present in the Kambô-healing process nowadays.
The medicine consists of the mucous of a giant tree frog, the Phyllomedusa Bicolor. It is used traditionally for focus during hunting or as a treatment against a broad spectrum of illnesses such as infectious diseases (malaria, Lyme), auto-immune disorders, depression, rehabilitation, and it is even used to fight cancer. The secretion contains several dozen peptides and neuropeptides. These include dermorphin and deltorphin, which are powerful pain killers without addictive effects; Phyllomedusin and phyllocaerulein, that contribute to purging of toxins and other things, and dermaseptin which promotes powerful antimicrobial activity against bacteria, yeast fungi as well as tryptophyllins which is potent against candida albicans.
In a typical ceremony the client starts with drinking up to 2 liters of water. After that, a superficial layer of the skin is removed point-wise with a smouldering piece of vine, which opens the door for the Kambô. When it’s cleaned the mucous is placed on the spots and the medicine starts working rapidly. First, the medicine will be taken up by the lymphatic system, carried back to the heart. There, your heart starts pounding, you will get hot and ask yourself why you participated in this ceremony in the first place. From there, the medicine spreads throughout the body via the neural system and stimulates your cells to detoxify themselves and excrete waste-products. Within moments most people start vomitting. It can happen that participants faint in the process. This is not worrysome at all, since people don’t experience this consciously and it enables the medicine to work on deeper levels. Other people might experience diarrhea, which is good to know beforehand as well... (So you can bring an extra pair). Kambo boosts your immunesystem and reminds your body of it's self-healing capacities.
Kambô is a heartmedicine, since the frog lives in the jungle peacefully without any animals daring to eat it. The frequency of unconditional love is what you integrate into your system whenever you choose to work with the spirit of Kambô. This is also why most people have to purge. Lower frequencies residing inside your system will not be able to resonate on that level and will be thrown out immediately. Although this is cleansing on all different levels (body, mind and spirit), most people will experience the grounding, vitalizing effects like more clarity and an enhanched mood. But Kambô definetly also gives you insights on toxic relations with yourself, others or (food)substances. Kambô breaks through the layers of protection built up around the heart, over the course of your life. It clears brainfog, enabling you to make better/healthier decisions. Indigenous indians say that Kambô also removes ‘Panema’, or condensated bad luck, from your aura, seen as dark pieces in the vomit. This ensures a free flow of energy, so you can live up to your maximum potency.
The frog is such a pleasure to look at, the way it is living in a territory of the Amazon of Brasil, Peru and Colombia. Although it is giant, it is scared for water. So when it starts raining it will climb in the tree and start croaking. Shamans will be able to locate it and put it on the shoulder. Like he knows what’s coming, he will sit there peacefully and let them take the medicine.
It is most important that the frog is treated well in the process, with respect of the amount of secretion that is taken at once, and it is released painfree afterwards. This way people don’t know where they are buying from, and it might just be a Kambô-farm, owned by one rich man not supporting the rest of the tribe or the jungle.
Where I get the medicine from I know that all this is taken care of and that it is the right frog, with all the active components present in its secretion. Yes, I pay a little extra but it’s worth it since I pay also for preservation of jungle and wildlife including our dearest frog.
